In some ways you could think of mindfulness as being in the now. But actually, being mindful will help you to not make as many mistakes, not forget as many things, and to feel more connected to yourself and everthing else.
Mindfulness is about you taking time before you act, taking time before you decide things, and giving yourself a moment to feel the way through things, make logical and intuitive decisions. to become more mindful, say what you mean and mean what you say.
Some people act from their emotions, or have automatic responses or triggers, but to become more mindful, try to consider things before acting, and make empowered decisions. Other things you could try to be mindful is practising compassion without conditions or expectations. In other words, do something thoughtful for someone without wanting anything in return. Try seeing something from someone elses view, without wanting anything in return. And then, try doing those things without having any expectations. You’ll be surprised at the result, and you will probably become more mindful too.
For great mindfulness feel the way with things rather than think the way. Don’t over-think or over-analyse anything, just stay present and feel the way with it.
